Job Summary:
The People Business Partner, Technology will be responsible for partnering with leaders within the Company’s Engineering, Product, and Data organizations to support and navigate the complexities of a dynamic, technology-driven and rapidly growing company. You will work directly with the teams building our unified platform and Connect 360 product, helping to scale the organization that is powering the #1 Modern PBM – relentlessly focused on eliminating the conflicts and complexity of legacy pharmacy benefits.
Duties include designing and leading high-impact talent initiatives across the employee life cycle to foster an environment of high performance within our technology organization. This role will require you to roll up your sleeves and engage on a hands-on basis. You will partner with the Chief Technology Officer on key HR initiatives, organizational design and strategies to support the Company’s mission of bringing financial and clinical transparency to healthcare.
What you will do:
- Be a trusted advisor, providing support from people leaders to individual contributors across the technology organization.
- Be a culture champion, and help infuse our company's values - Courage, Integrity, and Together - into everything we do, ensuring remote and distributed teams feel connected to the mission of disrupting a broken industry.
- Coach and influence managers on how to build and manage an amazing team.
- Provide business leaders with data, findings, and recommendations of their organizations’ "health" by assessing trends in performance, engagement, retention risk and burnout prevention.
- Partner with business leaders by providing strategic guidance on talent management, workforce planning and organizational design.
- Provide day-to-day employee performance management guidance to leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Collaborate with other People functions (Talent Acquisition, People Operations and Learning & Organizational Development) in the design and implementation of People programs to attract, retain, and promote a culture of high performance.
- Facilitate the adoption and education of HR policies and practices within the company.
- Build credibility and trust among employees; resolve employee concerns with compassion and follow-through.
- Regularly handle critical, highly sensitive and confidential employee relations matters.
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience with proven success in partnering with leaders in Engineering, Product Management or Data.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Management, Organization Development or related field required. Experience at a rapidly growing startup or HealthTech environment is highly desired.
- Extensive senior HRBP experience supporting exempt/salaried employee client groups, ideally within a high-growth SaaS or platform environment.
- Strong understanding of the unique dynamics of technical teams (Agile methodologies, distributed teams, visa/immigration complexities and technical compensation models).
- Strong track record of building trust and credibility - will act as a trusted advisor to employees and management.
- Expertise in navigating and resolving complex ER matters including leaves, ADA, etc.
- Effective communication, interpersonal and consultative skills - specifically with management and senior leaders who value data-driven insights.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Intrinsic knowledge of the key functional areas of HR (talent acquisition, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, learning & development, and payroll)
- Sound judgment and problem-solving skills
- A ‘get it done’ creative attitude and an ability to seek out and implement novel solutions to meet a growing, dynamic, and ever-changing environment
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, be flexible, detail oriented and able to prioritize
