We are looking for a talented Finance Controller to join our fast-growing Fintech scale-up.

Sharegain is a leading capital markets FinTech democratizing the $4 trillion securities lending market through our unique Securities Lending as a Services (SLaaS) solution, which empowers every investor with income generating solutions that were previously restricted to big financial institutions.

Sharegain’s end-to-end digital solution combines full control and transparency with minimal overheads or up-front costs, enabling online brokers, private banks, asset managers and custodians to lend their stocks, bonds and ETFs, and generate additional revenue for their own business and their clients.

As a Sharegain’s Finance Assistant Controller, you will be a part of the Finance team. Your role will be to manage the day-to-day accounting and statutory reporting for our Israel entity, including cash management, while supporting the Group's monthly consolidated financial statements and budget process.

Responsibilities:

  • Be involved in the daily tasks of the Finance department.

  • Manage the monthly closing process, including preparing working papers, calculating accruals, and performing analytical procedures.

  • Own cash management for the Israeli entity, including bank account oversight, payment execution, cash positioning, and weekly cash flow reporting.

  • Lead the preparation of tax reports for the Israeli subsidiary, and prepare statutory reports such as annual financial reports and work closely with auditors to provide audit working papers as required for annual audits.

  • Assist with the reconciliation of intercompany balances and monthly TP calculations.

  • Be involved in the budget preparation and forecast process.

  • Assist in preparing the Group's monthly consolidated financial statements, working from NetSuite across the UK, Israel and US entities.

  • Oversee the bookkeeping work, reviewing and monitoring Bookkeepers to verify the accuracy of financial data and statutory reporting.

  • Manage the vendor payment cycles, ensuring vendors are paid correctly according to their terms and per the company’s policy.

  • Enforce the company’s policies and procedures.

  • Provide financial analysis as needed.

  • Review and analyze vendors' agreements and contracts from a financial perspective.

  • Ad-Hoc projects.

  • Cooperate with team members and colleagues for organizational support while maintaining excellent work relations and level of service.

Requirements

  • A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from a Big4 firm - must.

  • 2 years post-internship experience in a private/public company or as a Senior at a Big4 firm (high-tech experience will be an advantage) - must.

  • Good knowledge of IFRS - must.

  • Fluent in English both written and spoken - must.

  • High level of Excel and office skills.

  • Knowledge in ERP Systems - Experience with NetSuite and BI reporting tools will be an advantage

  • Comfortable adopting AI tools to streamline reporting, reconciliations, and analysis, with a proactive mindset toward automation and efficiency.

  • Positive, problem-solver, and strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills, out of the box thinking, independent, entrepreneurial character

  • Highly motivated and committed, ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines.

  • Well-organized with ability to prioritize and work independently within the Finance team.
