Product Support at Nutanix

The Systems Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Nutanix is a customer-focused team that provides top-level support and ensures a successful product experience for our customers. As part of this team, you will be working alongside experienced Support Managers and Systems Reliability Engineers who will mentor you throughout your internship. The team operates in a collaborative and fun environment, where you will have the opportunity to work together to solve complex technical issues. This team is passionate about delivering world-class customer support and staying at the forefront of technology advancements.

Your Role

Our Summer Internship starting in December 2026 will provide you with 10 weeks of paid, challenging and exciting work with an opportunity of full-time employment as a Nutanix System Reliability Engineer at the completion of the internship program of your graduation.
During the program, you can expect to:
  • Learn about key technologies around server virtualisation, networking, Linux and storage
  • Learn what it takes to deliver a world-class customer support experience
  • Gain Nutanix certification
  • Debug and diagnose customer issues encountered in the field
  • Be mentored by a team of experienced Support Managers and Systems Reliability Engineers

About You

We invite students in the penultimate year of their Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems degree to apply to work alongside our fun and collaborative team of site reliability engineers over the summer university holidays.

What You Will Bring

  • You are familiar with and comfortable working in a Linux environment
  • Have an interest in learning virtualisation, networking, Linux and storage technologies
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment to solve complex technical issues
  • Have the curiosity to learn, solve problems, and are interested in a career in IT

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills
  • The passion and ability to learn new things, while never being satisfied with the status quo.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-growing company with huge potential.
  • Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only (inc. New Zealand citizens)

How We Work:

This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For our intern program, that will mean coming into the office 3 days per week. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
