The Opportunity
As the Director of India Marketing at Nutanix, you will be the architect and chief execution for one of our most dynamic markets. This is a high-impact, role where you will lead a talented local team and work in lockstep with India Sales leadership to accelerate pipeline and revenue growth.
Operating at the intersection of high-level strategy and relentless execution, you will champion the Nutanix narrative across India. You will optimize a modern marketing mix—spanning enterprise ABX, digital demand gen, high-touch executive events, a powerful partner ecosystem —to directly fuel our local expansion in the hybrid multicloud and cloud native and AI markets.
About the Team
As a vital part of Nutanix’s Global Demand Center, you will lead a skilled, diverse, and high-energy team focused on scaling demand initiatives across India and driving Pipeline. Your Role (What You’ll Do)
- Drive Strategy, Own Execution: Architect the comprehensive annual and quarterly marketing plans for India, utilizing a data-driven approach. Turn that strategy into flawless execution, taking personal ownership of pipeline impact and ROI.
- Lead & Empower: Mentor, manage, and inspire the marketing team. Foster an environment of continuous learning, execution excellence, and accountability.
- Sales & Ecosystem Alignment: Serve as a trusted strategic partner to the India Sales Leadership team. Co-develop quarterly pipeline acceleration plans and maximize marketing ROI alongside top channel and alliance partners.
- Deploy Modern ABX & Demand Gen: Design and execute localized, multi-channel demand generation and ABX programs tailored to India’s top enterprises, banks, and public sector organizations.
- Architect Executive Experiences: Oversee and actively participate in high-touch regional events, CXO roundtables, user groups, and major industry trade shows, acting as a visible brand ambassador for Nutanix.
- Localise the Narrative: Translate global campaign frameworks into highly relevant, localised stories that resonate with the specific pain points, compliance landscapes, and spending profiles of Indian CXO’s.
- Amplify Brand Voice: Partner with APJ and Corporate communications teams to steer local PR/AR activities, positioning Nutanix as the undisputed thought leader in hybrid multicloud.
- Funnel Optimization: Continuously analyse the end-to-end sales funnel, measure ROI across all marketing investments, and optimize programs to close gaps and accelerate velocity.
- Capture Customer Success: Identify, nurture, and develop compelling public references and case studies featuring India’s leading enterprises.
What You Will Bring
- 15+ Years of B2B Tech Marketing Experience: A proven track record of leadership in high-growth, enterprise B2B technology companies (SaaS, Cloud, or Datacenter Infrastructure).
- The "Owner" Mindset: You possess an "own-the-business" mentality. You are a seasoned strategic thinker who is equally thrilled to roll up your sleeves, write content, review event details, and jump into execution alongside your team.
- Enterprise Tech Fluency: A deep understanding of the Indian hybrid cloud, DevOps, containerization, or virtualization landscapes, and an innate knowledge of what catches the attention of an Enterprise IT buyer.
- GSI & Partner Marketing Mastery: Demonstrated experience co-marketing with global system integrators, distributors, and regional partners to scale market reach.
- Storyteller: Exceptional communication skills with the unique ability to turn complex architectural technology into highly engaging, problem-solving narratives.
- Data & MarTech Savvy: Advanced proficiency in modern marketing technology stacks, specifically Salesforce.com and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo), with an obsession for clean data and funnel metrics.
- Agility & Resilience: The ability to thrive, prioritize, and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-velocity matrix environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources.
