The Opportunity Nutanix is looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with strong proficiency in Python to join our Prism Core Infrastructure QA team. Prism is the central control plane of the Nutanix platform, critical for managing hybrid multicloud infrastructure. In this role, you will play a vital part in validating and automating essential workflows that ensure a flawless user experience. About the Team The Prism Core Infrastructure QA team is dedicated to the quality and reliability of Nutanix's central control plane. You will report to a Hiring Manager who utilizes a hands-on leadership style, encouraging open communication and professional development.

Your Role
  • Own end-to-end qualification of control plane deployment, including scaling and high-availability scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites using Python for RESTful APIs and UI automation frameworks.
  • Design and execute comprehensive test matrices to ensure zero downtime during software upgrades.
  • Collaborate with UI and Backend engineers to validate migration workflows to modern SDKs.
  • Triage and manage complex defects, utilizing log analysis to resolve issues across UI and backend services.
What You Will Bring
  • 5-8 years of experience in Software QA or Test Automation.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for backend/API automation.
  • Experience with UI Automation tools (Playwright, Selenium, or Cypress).
  • Solid understanding of Virtualization (VMware/KVM), Linux Admin, and Networking fundamentals.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.

Work Arrangement Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Vancouver, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Pay Transparency - Role Location The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between CAD $122,400 and CAD $183,600 per annum.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
