The Opportunity
Nutanix is disrupting the multi-billion dollar cloud infrastructure market by pioneering the first hybrid cloud platform that can incrementally scale out to manage petabytes of data while running tens of thousands of virtual machines. This brings about exciting new challenges in building a cloud-scale distributed control plane that can serve a multitude of applications.
You will work on the new licensing and features consumption service that determines when and how Nutanix users use our software and services. This core feature will be a core service to be consumed by other Nutanix features as well as consumers.
About the Team
The Licensing Platform Team at Nutanix is a group of 15 individuals located across the USA and India. Our team has successfully streamlined the licensing process and ensured compliance. What makes us unique is our ability to work across different geographies while achieving our goals efficiently and effectively. We are a dynamic and collaborative team that values innovation and continuous improvement.
Your Role
- Design and develop reliable, scalable, efficient, high performance control plane software for large scale enterprise and hybrid cloud.
- Design and develop features for the Nutanix manageability platform that interacts with Nutanix Core Services.
- Design and Implement a cloud scale API platform that makes it easy for developers to build, publish, execute and manage APIs at cloud scale.
- Contribute to the development of licensing web applications.
- Create effective unit and integration tests.
- Ability to write scripts and tools for development and debugging.
What You Will Bring
- Proficiency in Full Stack Development (Java, Go Lang, JavaScript, HTML, CSS)
- Proficiency and experience in building JavaScript-based web applications using modern frameworks and libraries (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Backbone)
- Experience in enterprise-scale REST API design and development.
- Experience with NoSQL database like MongoDB is desirable
- Solid understanding of scalable and distributed systems.
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms..
- Experience of working in Linux environment
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. In locations where our workplace policy applies (i.e. San Jose, Durham, Mexico City, Bangalore, Pune, Hoofddorp, Belgrade, Barcelona, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo), employees are expected to work onsite a minimum of 3 days per week to foster collaboration, team alignment, and access to in-office resources. Workplace type may vary based on location and team requirements. Please speak with your recruiter for details. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $90,400 and USD $180,000 per year.
However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
