Lendio is a Lehi, Utah-based fintech company empowering small businesses by simplifying access to capital. Through a curated marketplace of lenders, Lendio helps entrepreneurs secure the funding they need to survive and thrive. In addition to our established marketplace, we are expanding our product offerings to include software solutions for banks, credit unions, and other organizations that serve small business clients, making it easier for them to deliver faster, more efficient funding experiences.

Lendio is looking for an Analytics Engineer to build, support, and expand the dashboarding and reporting functions in our SaaS products (see Intelligent Lending and Embedded Marketplace).

What you will own

  • Data pipeline engineering. Working together with data engineering and BI, you will ensure that the data warehouse utilized by our analytics offerings has all of the data structures and elements needed for the reports and dashboards we need to deploy to our SaaS clients.

  • Assist in the design of reports. Using our embedded analytics products / frameworks (ThoughtSpot, AG Grid, etc.) and leveraging the data pipeline you manage, you will help to design the reports and dashboards that are delivered through our SaaS platform.

  • Driving results. We don’t believe in simply building and releasing – we believe in ROI. This means you will be responsible for monitoring, resolving issues and tracking the performance of the analytics features you release – in terms of solving a stated problem, quality, adoption, and economics.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Proficiency in data modeling and schema design

  • Advanced skills in SQL and scripting/parsing languages like python or scala

  • Ability to expertly communicate – both in terms of receiving (listening, comprehending) as well as articulating / conveying complex ideas from technical designs to user experience

  • Problem solving from converting requirements into designs to making architectures work toward an ideal outcome

  • Sufficient grasp of user experience design to appreciate and navigate the dynamics around user personas, mental models, and design principles

  • Project management to break down scope into minimal (yet valuable and releasable) components, managing timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and reporting on status and results

What we’re offering:

  • Purpose. Lendio doesn’t just sell widgets – we’re focused on making a measurable impact on individual businesses – whether it’s a small business in need of capital to survive and thrive, a lender looking to optimize their portfolio, or an enterprise provider looking to deepen their relationship with their customers, we want to deliver meaningful impact.

  • Team. You will be surrounded by some of the best professionals and people anywhere. We consistently get high marks in terms of culture – not just nice people, but a culture of accomplishment and improvement. We will help you to grow and in turn, we hope that you’ll contribute to making us a better team.

  • Freedom. We are not interested in hiring soldiers, mercenaries, or factory workers – we are looking for independent thinkers and proactive problem solvers. We will give you a charter, problems to solve, and make you the CEO of your job. But with that freedom comes…

  • Expectations. Perhaps the greatest motivator toward becoming the best you can be is simply the expectation that you are going to solve very hard problems and demonstrate that people are better off because of your work. We will hold you to this, and we look forward to you creating a powerful portfolio of work that is undeniably valuable to the users you serve and the revenue you drive.

  • Compensation. You will find that we will be very competitive on salary and benefits. We’ve been around for a while, and we’re not going anywhere.

Organizational context:

  • You will be on the product team

  • You will report to the Director of Data & AI

  • You will work directly with a product manager

Pay Range:
