Our software engineers come from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from Silicon Valley entrepreneurs to finance tech veterans. What they have in common is tremendous talent and dedication to architecting, implementing, and shipping high quality software.</p> <p>The Data Control Frameworks (DCF) team is a critical component of Addepar's Data Platform organization. We build the data quality infrastructure that ensures the integrity and reliability of financial data across Addepar's platform. Our team develops automated data quality checks, validation frameworks, and operational tools that empower both engineering teams and operations personnel to maintain the highest standards of data accuracy. We partner directly with customers and internal stakeholders to surface data quality issues early and enable rapid corrective action.</p> <p>We're building the next generation of data quality and governance capabilities at Addepar, and we'd love to have you help architect and build these systems with us. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.</p> <h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></span></h4> <ul> <li>Design and build scalable data quality frameworks and validation systems that process financial data at enterprise scale and across diverse datasets</li> <li>Own services end-to-end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and operational support</li> <li>Build tools and interfaces that enable operations teams to efficiently identify, investigate, and resolve data issues</li> <li>Design and deploy resilient, scalable cloud-native infrastructure on AWS using Terraform</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, data engineers, and operations stakeholders to deliver high-impact features</li> <li>Work with modern data processing technologies like pySpark and Databricks to build, validate, and monitor data pipelines</li> <li>Contribute to the broader Data Platform vision of making data discoverable, trustworthy, and actionable across Addepar</li> </ul> <h4><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Who You Are</strong></span></h4> <ul> <li>Extensive professional software engineering experience</li> <li>Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience</li> <li>Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and/or a similar object oriented language with demonstrated ability to write high-quality, maintainable code</li> <li>Experience with SQL and database systems (both relational databases like MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL systems like DynamoDB)</li> <li>Proven experience building and operating distributed systems and processing data at scale</li> <li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explore complex problem spaces objectively from multiple perspectives</li> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across engineering and non-engineering teams</li> <li>Self-driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift</li> <li>Experience writing Infrastructure as Code to model your designs and deploying cloud-native infrastructure on AWS or similar cloud platforms</li> </ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Our Values&nbsp;</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><strong>Act Like an Owner - </strong><span style="font-weight: 400;">Think and operate with intention, purpose and care.
