The Role

We are currently seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer to join our team. As the key resource throughout our sales process, you will be leading presentations with C-Suite, advisor and other key stakeholders showcasing how Addepar’s vertically integrated platform solves complex financial challenges. You bring a deep knowledge of financial software to help our prospects and large relationships contextualize the Addepar solution fit.

You will work with our Account Executives to drive the technical side of the sales cycle, focusing on AI-driven workflows and data integration. Internally, you will work with teams to ensure our prospects are abreast of the product development, workflows, and use cases at Addepar. You are an inspirational leader where other internal teams can rely on and prospects seek guidance from!

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $122,000 - $153,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additionally, these ranges reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without requiring current or future visa sponsorship (for example, employment-based visas such as H-1B, F-1/OPT, or similar), and must be authorized to begin work in the U.S. on their first day of employment.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Domain Expertise: Serve as the primary domain expert, supporting account executives throughout the entire sales and relationship expansion lifecycle
  • Platform & AI Evolution: Guide existing clients through the modernization of their workflows. You’ll demonstrate how migrating to a platform or adopting Addepar’s AI-powered insights creates a vertically integrated ecosystem that outpaces their current setup
  • Technical Discovery: Conduct deep-dive discovery sessions to understand prospect requirements and map them to Addepar’s technical solutions
  • Demo Construction: Design and build tailored demo environments, run end-to-end proof-of-concepts including the ingestion of client data to showcase the platform's value
  • Enterprise Account Growth: Lead technical executive reviews and expansion executions for our largest existing relationships, identifying and delivering new platform value that directly drives incremental ARR
  • Technical Sales Support: Manage the technical portions of the sales cycle, including responding to RFPs/RFIs and coordinating with internal product and engineering teams

Who You Are

  • Experience: 3+ years in Sales Engineering or Solutions Architecture, with a proven track record of supporting both initial sales and large-scale account expansions
  • AI Specialist & Champion: Strong proficiency in AI-driven software and data ecosystems. You are comfortable supporting the pitch of AI use cases to external partners and act as an early adopter of new AI tools internally. You can articulate the value of "data strategy" and "operational efficiency" to various stakeholders and help your peers integrate AI-first workflows into their daily routines
  • Executive Presence & Leadership: You possess the confidence to guide high-stakes technical engagements and the experience to lead executive reviews for senior stakeholders at multi-billion dollar firms
  • Hands-on Technical Execution: You are a "roll-up-your-sleeves" practitioner. You can jump into the weeds of data architecture and managed database workflows one hour, and then pivot to a high-level strategic pitch the next
  • Investment Management Domain Expert: You possess a robust understanding of global financial markets and a broad spectrum of asset classes (from equities and fixed income to complex alternatives). This allows you to navigate high-stakes conversations with sophisticated buyers at large multinational firms, speaking their language fluently, while building immediate credibility
  • Revenue-Minded Engineer: You see the technical journey as a means to a business end. You are intellectually curious and equally skilled at connecting technical milestones to tangible business value and ARR growth throughout the entire lifecycle of a relationship
  • Data Lakehouse: understanding of workflows embedded and concept of integrating complex data sets are a plus
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required while other certifications such as the CFA, CFP and Masters Degree are a plus
  • Travel: Flexibility to travel on short notice (10-20%)
