Job Description

Deep Instinct, the first cyber security company to apply Deep Learning to cyber security is looking for a Threat Intelligence Researcher for its data science group. Deep instinct is an innovative start-up that has a unique and game-changing software solution to protect Fortune 500 End-Point, applications and storage clents against Zero Day & APT cyber-attacks. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct cutting-edge research on cloud-specific attack vectors, vulnerabilities, and security challenges.
  • Develop and implement innovative security mechanisms to protect data stored in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
  • Analyze new and emerging cloud security threats and risks, and recommend proactive defense strategies.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security features into new and existing cloud-based products.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud security, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and industry best practices.
  • Publish findings in whitepapers and patents, and contribute to the cybersecurity community through conferences and journals.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university, or equivalent experience at a renowned company.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity research, with a focus on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and data security (DSPM, DAG, DLP, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of cyber threat vectors and countermeasures, including familiarity with the MITRE framework.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience publishing research findings in peer-reviewed journals or presenting at cybersecurity conferences.
  • Experience with building security products for cloud storage.
