About the position
Imagene is seeking a highly qualified VP of Product with expertise in diagnostics applications. This role will report directly to the CEO and be preferably based on the East Coast of the United States. The suitable candidate should possess a strong background in product development, strategy, and a deep knowledge of the cancer diagnostics industry.
- Strategy & Development: Form and lead the product strategy and roadmap for molecular diagnostics and AI applications in oncology and biomarkers, ensuring it aligns with market demands.
- Stakeholder Relations: Cultivate and nurture relationships with vital industry stakeholders, from advisory board members, KOLs, medical centers and labs to industry players in precision oncology.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Guide a cross-functional team towards achieving product-market fit, ensuring collaboration between product management and engineering for optimal product output. Collaborate closely with the marketing and business developments teams to ensure the successful launch of new products.
- Market Insight: Harness market research to gain insights into customer needs and industry trends in cancer diagnostics.
- Business Analysis: Undertake detailed business analyses to pinpoint value and identify opportunities for new product introductions and enhancements.
- Industry Presence: Represent Imagene at industry events, showcasing the company as a leader in the molecular diagnostics and precision oncology sectors.
- 10+ years experience in product-focused roles.
- Proven track record of developing products and strategizing for cancer diagnostics and AI-centric applications.
- Comprehensive understanding of the diagnostics market landscape, preferably within the molecular diagnostics space, including existing relationships within US providers, medical centers, labs, and key opinion leaders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate market research and customer insights into actionable product marketing strategies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex scientific concepts and value propositions to diverse audiences.
- Willingness to travel
- Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or MBA) is highly advantageous, with a focus on molecular diagnostics, genomics, or a related field.
